HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL PORTFOLIO
My name is Norbert Maier. I am a designer from Germany.
Originally trained in Communication Design, I have built my career primarily as an Animation Layout Artist and 2D/3D Set Designer for the film industry. I also work as an illustrator for news magazines, book and magazine publishers, theme parks, industrial companies, advertising agencies, and video game developers.
I spent several years at Walt Disney Feature Animation in Orlando, Florida, where I worked as a Layout Artist on animated feature films including Mulan and Lilo & Stitch.
In 2023, I contributed as a Set Designer and Layout Artist to the Academy Award–winning animated film The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Lupus Films, London.
Alongside my work in the creative industries, I have been a university lecturer for many years and am also represented by a leading photo agency as a travel and nature photographer.
